Stock Broker Vs. Financial Adviser

Here to talk about stock brokers and financial advisers. What’s the difference? Is there a difference? Well, I’m here to tell you there is, um, the different types of financial adviser available to people out there, there’s the traditional stock broker who works to tens, who works to this big wire house or bog firms out there that will buy and sell securities for you and charge you commission, and then there’s the financial adviser who could also do the same things and charge commission, but also has others models as well in regards to how can they go about charging you if we base being one. But, the most important difference between the two is the level of responsibility. A stock broker by law only has to bring you something that is suitable for you, most suitable for you. A financial adviser takes upon his or herself a higher level of responsibility, a level called a fiduciary responsibility, being a fiduciary for their clients, operating in their clients’ best interests only, putting their clients’ interest above their own. This is why I’d always recommend working with a registered investment adviser under the Securities and Exchange Commission.
