Beaded Jewelry Techniques : Wire & Bead Art

Hello! I’m Leonardo Martinez at Legendary beads in Austin, today I’m going to show you how wire and bead art. Here are few of my designs; here basically I’ve used 20-gauge wire on the outside, 24-gauge on the inside, here let me use cell phone, taking a 22-gauge wire here, and wrapping the cell phone for the body, about an inch in maybe an inch and a half on the other side. Taking that shape wrapping it crossing over from the center, twisting, too tight twist.

Cut perpendicular so I have a nice rectangle shape just like my other 1. So I’ve used a 26-gauge here, take about, good amount out scrap wire, this is plenty, better more than not enough. So the start, I’ll start at the bottom corner and I’ll line my wires up, start twisting and making a coil. This will be my first connect for my wire art. I’ll make and drop that down, and just kinda feel free to go wherever will I’m gonna follow this design now. So kinda just wrap it around, square-reed like, go ahead and grab a feel the smaller coral beads and just put on how many ever you like, I’m gonna put 3, loop to the other side, maybe wrap it around 1 or 2 times, whatever you like. Add another bead, wrap it around and looks like I’ll use 3 beads on this 1, so I’m gonna grab 1 more. So kinda go crazy about….

On finishing this, just take that end and wrap it around your top and cut. Go and take the loose wires, just twist them, right angle, that will kinda tighten up everything. Keep it nice and tight, so for the earring hook, open, hold the top, close door (there) and this how you make wire beaded art.
