How to Schedule a Defrag on Multiple Drives

Today we're going to learn how to Schedule a Defrag on Multiple Drives. If you're as busy as most people as of today, then anything that you could set automatically is really a life saver. And Defrag in you Drives is letting you need to do but never really have time for especially when your doing other job on your computer. So, why not Schedule a Tab automatically? To Schedule a Defragmentation on Multiple Drives, start by going to your Start Menu, then go to All Programs, and then Accessories and then select System Tools. Then from System Tools, select Scheduled Tasks.

Here you can add a new task by clicking "Add Scheduled Tack", this will open the Scheduled Task Wizard, were you'd be able to add a task were you want to perform here Defragmentation, just click on Next to continue. Now you will be able to scroll and search for application called Defragmentor. Here we can see that the only application disk is the Disk Clean Up. And that Disk Defragmenter isn't present. So, we'll have to browse for it. To do this just click on the Browse button, then navigate to My Computer, then to C, Then Windows and then finally find the system 42 Folder, in which you will be able to locate the defragment, which will be called Defrag. So, we'll search for the letter D and here you will be able to find something called Defrag, which you can simply select and click Open.

Now, you can name the task whatever you want, in this case; let's just call it Defrag and the side on the basis w\you want it performed: once a day, once a week, once a month or on a specified time. For this example, let's do weekly, then just click Next, then you will be able to select your Start time and how many weeks you want it to perform, once your done click next. Then you have to answer your windows logon to answer your window session so that it will perform the task correctly. In this case, there's no password, so we'll just click next. Here it’s very important to click on "Open Advance Properties for this box when I click Finish Box”. Once you've click, click the Finish. Now a new pop up will open and here it’s important which drive you wanted to Defrag.

So, in this case, let’s just type the letter C, for C drive at the end of Run line. All you have to do for this is leave a space after you've already spent a specified name of Defrag at a save file. Then enter the Letter of the drive that you want to format and followed by double dots. Once you've done this, click Apply on the bottom right and the Ok. And here you'll have to enter your password. Now, once you've done this, you can repeat the same process then, instead of putting C this time, you'll have to put the new drive you want to defrag as well: for example D. Then you'll have two Schedule Defragmentation for two different drives. And you can repeat this for how many drives you want to defrag.
