Hairstyling Ideas & Treatments : What Does a Relaxer Do to a Child's Hair?
Hi I’m Emilia and I’m here to talk to you about relaxing a child’s hair. I don’t really recommend relaxing a child’s hair whose under puberty because once they hit puberty age they tend to, they have more hormones growing in their body but here’s going to change, I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of little of kids who are curly when they are little and as they aged they started to straighten out. So really I don’t recommend relaxing it until they hit puberty age and once they do hit puberty then you can start relaxing their hair in a fairly regular basis but you’re going to want to use a relaxer that made specifically for the children. They’ve got them out there. They’re a lot gentler because a child’s hair is not as coarse usually. It’s a lot finer, silkier and that also goes with coloring and perming as well. Whenever you start adding more services and more options to a child hair then you’re also looking at a lot more maintenance. So children also technically do not always take care of their hair the best and whenever you relax hair it does have certain needs that you got to meet. You need to use quality shampoo, a good quality conditioner. So just be sure that you really think about relaxing your child’s hair before you actually do it because it can really affect their lifestyle greatly.
