Hairstyling Ideas & Treatments : How to Take Care of Thin Hair

Hi I’m Emilia and I’m here to talk to you about ways to take care of your hair if it is thin. Now thin hair needs a little bit more love and care. Your going to want to make sure you’re using a volume-enhancing shampoo, volume-enhancing conditioner or a very light leaven conditioner if you feel like a regular conditioners to heavy. When drying your hair, you always going to use also some sort of volume-enhancing product.

Nothing with alcohol cause alcohol just going to dry up your hair more and even though your hair is more fine and thin it still does need some moisture. And then when your drying your hair, your going to want to dry that hair by blowing your hair in that opposite direction that you wear it. Another thing you take into consideration is your color. If you have a very very fine thin hair, you probably want your color to be a little bit on a lighter side. Because what it’s going to do is its going to mask being able to see the scalp. So like as you can see here, you can kinda see some scalp and some spots with this particular manikin and whereas in the blond area you can’t really see the scalp well.

Now I’m not recommending that everyone with thin hair become a blonde but you can definitely enlighten your hair a shade or two and maybe even add some dimension some high lights and that would some sort of mask it as well. Also that color will plump the hair it a little bit giving you a lot more styling options. Also make sure that you will have an excellent cut. You don’t really want anything that has a lot of layering cause that’s just again going to make the hair look on the flatter side. Your going to want a nice blond line and if that means keeping it a lot longer just know that you can always add a little more hump and some bangs or some fringe around your face.
