Exercise & Fitness Tips : Morning Exercise Routines
Hi I’m Ashley Gas, strength and condition specialist with brilliantathlete.com. A morning exercise routine is an exercise routine that you would do in the morning. Now this is a bit different for everybody, sometimes people that work full time have got to do their strength training before they go to work, so that would be their morning exercise routine. Others get up and have to go for, say half an hour of walk that could be a morning exercise routine. If on the other hand, you find that when you get up in the morning you feel a little bit stiff, there are some exercises and stretches you can do to really limber up for the day, and I’ll show you a few of those. Let’s say that you feel a little bit stiff in your legs and in your lower back, there’s a couple of stretches that can help you out. Now I’ve got a special stretching strap here, but you can also use a towel and this can be a nice stretch for your hamstrings which are these muscles at the back of your leg. So you would take your towel or your stretching strap, and very gently go into a stretch like this, my range of motion might be more than yours, so make sure that you start gently especially in the morning. So once I feel that I’ve got a little bit loser through this muscle, I can just change legs, I can go straight to the other side, and again just hold that stretch until my leg start to feel a little bit loser. Another stretch that you can do, if you’re a little stiff in the morning, it’s the butt stretch, take one leg cross the front of the other leg, and just gently push your knee right out to the side. And you should feel that stretch through your bum; again the hamstrings stretch and this bum stretch will really help if you feel kinda stiff in the morning. So, if you’re someone that works full time, and you don’t have any opportunity after work to go and work out, make sure you do strength training in the morning that would be your morning exercise routine. If you like to do more robot work, go for a walk. If on the other hand you wake up feeling stiff, get some stretches in, and that will do it for your morning exercise routine.
