Small Dog Breed Care : How to Care for a Teacup Chihuahua

Hi I'm Nancy, I'm the training manager at the Berkley East Baker Main Society and we will talk a little bit about caring for your Teacup Chihuahua, we don’t see so many of these anymore but the Teacup Chihuahua unlike the regular Chihuahua is a Chihuahua that could just small enough to almost fit in maybe the palms of your two hands out together, they're very, very tiny and they do have a tendency to have some genetic defects particularly of water on the brain can happen to them when they are born.

But other than that they are really just a tiny dog you carry with you wherever you go, unlike a regular Chihuahua who can walk just as much as you want to walk, really hardy little characters the Teacup Chihuahua is usually meant to be carried, they will not do well in a home with very small children because they can get hurt very, very easily. Your Teacup Chihuahua is just that, it's like a precious Teacup that you want to kind of keep on the shelf and this one you get to cattle with.
