Small Dog Breed Care : How to Care for a Pembroke Welsh Corgi
I’m Nancy, the training manager of the Berkley East Bay Humane Society here in Berkley California. And we’re going to talk about caring your Pembroke Welsh Corgi. The first thing I’d like to know is if you know the difference between a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and a Cardigan Corgi? If you don’t the Cardigan Corgi has a tail. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi has no tail and why you see a far variation in the Cardigan Corgi is the Pembroke Welsh Corgi are generally a pun color with white markings they have a lush coat that short but a nice undercoat and they are a very, very good carting dog. They are still being breed to work stalk and they have a really outgoing, confident and rather bossy personality in many ways. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi can be very demanding in terms of being barky so you gonna have to put some boundaries on the barking you gonna have to give them good obedience and give them things to do. They can do a lot of different kinds of activities whether it’s a chility or obedience training tricks and they enjoy and love working for you. Again in terms of hurting they’re what you’re calling beautiful dog they’re there to figure out what you want. So this is a dog that’s gonna bond closely to you and is gonna test you as much as you test him.
