The standard schnauzer is a mid sized dog and the giant schnauzer is really, really, really large, now inspire of the difference in sizes all 3 of the sizes pretty much have the same personality, these are active rambunctious dog that need a job, they, you have to give them jobs in your house, you have to keep them mentally stimulated and you have to do good obedience training with them. Also your schnauzer has a rough terrier like coat and is going to need some professional grooming at least a few times in his lifetime to keep his coat nice and smooth and properly broom for his breed.
